What size is baby D-lish this week?

It's.... still a papaya? Yes, according to thebump.com, Baby D is the size of a papaya for weeks 21 - 24.... how sad. No fun fruit this week.

However... according to babycenter.org, Baby D is the size of a mango. I guess it's exotic fruit month.

Sorry I've been slacking on the photos. I hope to have some time this weekend to take and post pics of the belly and the work that we've done around the house, as well as the 20-week ultrasound.

What size is baby D-lish this week?

It's a papaya! How fun!

from the bump:

Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

What size is baby D-lish this week?

It's a banana? (I told you it didn't make sense this week!)

from thebump:
Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for hydration and nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies are most interested in tastes they've already experienced through amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you want your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch.

I eat pretty well, so I'm not so concerned about Baby D having a sweet tooth.

On another thought, I read somewhere that birth weights follow the mother's bloodline. So hopefully Gian and his big brother's astronomically HUGE birth weights won't mean that I am going to give birth to a watermelon-sized Baby D. . .

And I haven't forgotten the ultrasound, I need to do that tomorrow for you all!

What size is Baby D this week?

Yep, still a cantaloupe. See previous post.

New pictures for you

Y'know I am not a fan of posing for photos by my lonesome, but here are a few that Sue took at work.

Um, not quite halfway there?

Ok, no pictures to post tonight (way too sleepy) but wanted to share that, as I thought, I am only 19 weeks along - so I get to relive the halfway moment again next week.

Based on ultrasound weight and length, I am nineteen weeks one day today, so my new due date (although my doctor will still go by the old one, because it's less that two weeks difference) is August 13.
